Found an error? Tell us — we will correct it and note the change. Spotted a story worth telling? Send it with any sources you have. Corrections are especially welcome: a history site that cannot be corrected is just a rumour mill with nice typography.

Advertising and partnerships
We accept display advertising and newsletter sponsorships. We do not publish sponsored stories presented as editorial — if a story is here, it is because it is true and interesting, not because someone paid for it.
Response time
We aim to reply within a few days. Corrections get priority.
